MIA Facts This site is published to provide facts about the issue of Americans who remain "missing in action" (MIA) from the Vietnam War. At the conclusion of the Vietnam War, 2,583 Americans did not return. A vast mythology has built up around what really happened to these individuals. Mis-information, pseudo-history, deliberate fabrication are rampant. As a result, myths are regularly proclaimed to be fact.
Thailand - Laos - Cambodia Brotherhood The Brotherhood stretched across Thailand, Laos, and Cambodia. We were civilians, military (all branches of service). We were pilots, mechanics, navigators, weathermen, drivers, security police and cooks. We were on or over the front line, on bases you saw on TV and some that few people even knew existed. We fought the war you heard about and the war you didn't. We didn't look for glory or ask for medals, we were called and we went. A lot of us didn't return........

ADRIAN FISCH

At the entrance to the Minnesota Governor’s office, there is a small shrine dedicated to the memory of the soldiers who are missing in action in the Vietnam War. It contains a POW/MIA flag and a small plaque, noting that the shrine was contributed by an organization called "Red Badge of Courage". That organization was really one man -- Adrian Fisch, of St James, Minnesota

Richard Fecteau Branch/Rank: CIV Richard Fecteau was returned in 1971 and John Downey in 1973, over 19 years after Steve Kiba had reported seeing them in captivity in 1954....
POWs And The Cuban Connection Oct. 95 Maj. Mark Smith (Retired)] Because of caution about the POWs, still held, during the first sixty days after the Paris Peace Agreement, returned POWs kept quiet about the conditions of confinement.
DENNIS & JOYCE ADAMSCHECK In 1984, Dennis Adamscheck was at a meeting of his local VFW Post 3979 in Cloquet, Minnesota when someone passed around a cup for donations to the POW/MIA cause. Dennis looked at the few dimes and quarters contributed and wondered what this pitiful collection meant. He went home and began looking into the POW/MIA issue.
POW/MIA Bio's 1948 Americans still unaccounted for from the Vietnam war. What makes these special is that they ALL are on the list of "last known alive" (a list created by the US government to aid in obtaining the fullest possible accounting). Most of these men are included in catagory 1, meaning the Vietnamese government should have information on the whereabouts of these men. Java warning.

Kiss the Truth Good-bye Summary. The book Kiss the Boys Good-bye by Monika Jensen-Stevenson is one of the "bibles" of the POW-MIA issue. Sad. This book is seriously flawed. It is poorly researched, filled with hearsay, rumor, and unverified "sources." In a word, it is nonsense.

Errol, have you ever spent time with any H'mong refugees, ex ARVN or Cambodians, don't get me wrong i don't have any axe to grind against US, they saved NZ from becoming rice eaters in WW2 but their govt within Govt waging little wars & then ditching them is disgusting.
